Maxima Clam & Bristle Worms

We just got a Maxima Clam and we have a bristle worm(s) and I was told that said worms will eat the clam. Is there any substance/truth to this?

I currently have the clam mid-level on live rock but I'd rather have him in the substrate but this may further expose it to the BW's, if indeed there really is a threat.

as far as i know , bristle worms should not bother a clam unless it is dead or dying, there may be some worms that do attack clams, but the ones i have in my tank do not.

no, bristle worms are no threat to healthy clams. eunice/bobbit worms on the other hand are a different story. however if you have one of those in your tank, they're a problem for everything living.

i would rethink placing it on the sand bed though, maximas are purported to like being up the rocks, and need very intense light, more similar to a T. crocea than to a sand dweller like a T. derasa.
