Maxspect 130 for 120g

I got a good deal on the 130 gyre for my 48x24x24 120g setup. The 130gyre claims it's good for 100+ gallons but I think I may need another pump for my mixed reef tank.

What do you guys think? How much more flow would I need? Which pump(s) would complement the gyre for my setup? I do plan on keeping sps eventually.

I guess it depends on your tank and layout. I have a gyre 150 on my 110 tall and it's the only powerhead (Runs at about 50% power.) I have fine sand so I can't get too carried away with flow but I have a decent amount of sps and it's worked ok for me.

agree with above... you could probably do just fine running this at a higher power and use only it. I have 2 xf150s in my tank that I recently attached to the new advanced controller and I only run them max at 30%
