I figured I would post a review of my lights. I have been running them on my 55 mixed reef since February and I am quite pleased with them. I have two modules (considering a third). The coloration that I see in my tank is awesome.

Pros:
  • IMO they are reasonably priced
  • Coloration is good
  • Easy to program
  • Fans are quiet
  • Top notch customer service from Chris @ Coralvue (I will explain this)
  • Easy to mount

Cons:
  • Controller mount is flimsy

I must say the customer service that I am receiving from Chris @ Coralvue is great. I sent Chris an email last night about some issues that I am experiencing. He emailed me first thing this morning and said he would send my replacement parts out. I truly appreciate this, since it is not often that companies will get back to you right away and not give you the run around. I would definitely consider their products first when I need to make purchases for my system.

+1 I couldnt have said it better myself. Chris@coralvue is great! Had power supply issues and they were taken care of immediately. Just need to add one thing. IMO the controllability of the lighting spectrums and the interchangeable optics are top notch!

I have seen these lights in person and must as I like them better than the AI's... Very nice color and love the adjust ability...

How could forget about the optics? It is great to have the flexibility to swap the optics easily. I swapped some of mine when I got the fixture and it has worked GREAT!

Which optics are you using? I have 100* on everything. Im thinking of switching out all the whites to 70* and see how the coral does.

Ouch! What salt mix?

D-D H2ocean. I rolled the bucket of salt before mixing and still ended up with high alkalinity. I made the dumb mistake of not testing the fresh saltwater I made. I did two water changes and noticed my corals were looking off. I tested the water and my alkalinity is off as well as calcium. I had to order new test kits and will test all parameters when I get them. This way I know how off everything is and I can test a fresh batch of IO before added it to the tank.

My corals were doing great with IO and I should not have messed with it. Lesson learned.
