May Elections

 As long as you have good people that care about the club as well as the hobby itself, you guys will be fine. The worst thing you can do is step aside because of a few negative people, because when that happens the club loses the most.

Yes, I've experienced this first-hand in my own club, and we just keep our eye on goal. :)

I was the president of pretty large club (different hobby), it can be a very thankless but rewarding job. Like Marc said, I think as long as you act in the best interest of the club and the majority of members, the club prospers. There will always be critics, and as we have seen, sometimes they can be harsh. In the end, you can't always please everyone.

John, an "at large" board member would be one who doesn't have a specific office or title, but attends board meetings and is active in all board functions. They also generally head up, or second different committees, so it would kind of be in between a member and an officer, basically support for the officers.

Why not just go for a position? Given the experience of the current board, I am sure outgoing board members would be more than willing to assist in the transition, answer questions along the way, etc.

so far we have

boozerell for Secretary:
Tbohinc for Program director:

Anyone Else going for a Position

I think Sagi Shilo and I can work well together on the website stuff. I talked to him about it after the meeting on Friday.

I think you are right Chris. He has offered some quick solutions to some of our issues at the meetings. It could be handled by two people very easily.

Thanks, it has been a while. The dust has finally settled with the new house so I am onto bigger and better things...politics! My wife is so thrilled!
