may sound like a stupid question but...

Hi everyone, I have my 150 gallon dual overflow tank that I'm building. I bought it off craigslist, and it did not come with any bulkheads. My question is, does anyone know what size the holes are in the bottom of the tank? I ask because I want to start plumbing and I'm not sure what bulkheads I need. (I'm doing 1 inch returns and 1 1/4 inch drains)

We dont know who drilled them or who made the tank. You need to measure the holes. Then look up bulkheads online and see what size holes they require.

Ok thanks guys I figured that's what the answer was going to be. I'm guessing they must be around an inch or inch and a half but measure I will do...

A 1" dia hole does not mean it's a 1" bulkhead.
Same goes for 1¼ and 1½

You need to measure your holes accurately first, then look at a bulkhead sizing chart to determine the correct one.
