also had some baby brittle stars that came with my chaeto so I was hoping maybe it was just an even younger one...

I agree that that's a hydroid. Also, those stars in your chaeto probably aren't babies, but full-grown mini brittles. They're great members of your CUC, and reproduce easily.

should i try to get rid of the hydroids or not worry about them? they are practically microscopic lol

I was thinking the mini brittle was a baby is because it has no color yet. he is white to off-white. I have some larger ones, not much larger mind you, but they have the proper coloring. is it possible I have an albino mini-brittle? lmao, i'm being silly...

seriously tho, is it just a matter of time before he gains his proper coloration?
