My wife is doing well (crossing my fingers) and the salt itch is killing me. Not quite ready to start the 90 but I have been thinking about starting a 20 long or 30 reef tank or maybe just a grow out tank to hold the corals till I get comfortable doing the 90 again. Well that is until seeing all the problems as of late Jerry, Dave and of all people Gary M. Now I'm rethinking it lol. I have the live rock cured and ready to go into the display if I decide to go little reef or sump if I go grow out. I'm leaning towards the grow out /frag tank. I was thinking of keeping mostly low growing soft corals like zoas, polys and so on with a few SPS mixed in either way reef or grow out. The lighting will be a single 250 watt XM 10 K SE with a lumatek ballast adjusted to a height that will suit the corals. The tank will be either of the two mentioned above most likely the 30 with my 40 breeder sump with either my ASM G2 or coral life 125 skimmer. In tank flow will be a korala 4 or maybe a return pump big enough to do it. Thing is I don't want the water flying threw the sump as that would not be a good thing. I was thinking about an external overflow but after seeing Jerry's post I'm leaning toward drilling and using the glass holes overflow. Input is always welcome of course.
