My tank is almost 3 weeks old with no lights and I have a hitchhiker that looks to me like an Anemone. I was uner the impression that they needed intense light to survive is this true are there some that don't need light? I have a pic but its really not worth showing (horrible) but basicly it looks like a little white bugger with small little white tentacles (sorry "bugger" was the best way to describe it) the base has a kind of white candy cane stripe to it and it was moving around yesterday but today it seems it has found its self a home.

I concur, may be aiptasia, may be not though, do a search and fnind some pics of aiptasia, if its one then you should probbally get rid of it. Not everyone thinks they are bad, but they can spread rapidly and sticg other good stuff. They will live with little to know light as well. If it is some other anem that you want to keep may be time to get some lights going lickity split

here are my horrible pics
