Maze brain started bleaching over night

I've had this maze brain for roughly a month. It's located at the bottom of the tank under T-5s. It's been fine the whole time until I looked at it this morning and there are two white patches on it now.

If it's getting too much light, would it take a month for something to go wrong?

The zoos have been there a week. They fell and I just left them there. I ruled them out because it's fine right behind them and the two patches bleaching are away from them. I may move them anyway.

Parameters this morning were:

Temp: 78
SG: 1.026
pH: 8.3
Ca: 435
Mg: 1260
Alk: 8 dkH
Nitrates: 0
Phosphates: 0

My alk seemed to get a little on the low side. I added some reefbuilder to my topoff to try to get it back up there. I dose B-ionic daily also.

Well, it certainly doesn't seem to be your prameters ... unless there was a big swing in something (I am in Illinois as well and I had a bit of a temp swing in my tank when the weather changed and I had to adjust my heater).

I would move the zoanthids.

Does the surface look "cheesy" or like the flesh has just been stripped away? If the former, you may have some sort of fungus infection, if the latter, maybe a parasite of some time.

With that kind of damage aften one night, I would think predation or, possibly, being stung by another coral. Do you have any LPS with 6" or so of it? I have seen some crazy long sweeper tentacles come out of mine at night.
