Mean angel question? Doesn't like moorish.

I have a lovely 180 gallon aquarium and it has been set up for some time, I think near a year. I have had an emporer in the tank for about two or three weeks and am now adding a moorish to the tank. The emperor is being rather aggressive towards it even after a week. What can you do to calm the emperor down? Are their any treatments you can give to the tank or pull the fish out or the like? The emperor is a juvenille and is about 3 or 4 inches long. The moorish eats plenty of misos shrimp.

Rearrange decore/rocks
Put a mirror on one side of the tank to keep the emperator angel busy (if he takes the bait)

Other than that, your BEST solution is to take the moorish idol back and get your money back. They are one of the toughest fish to keep in this hobby, and if you haven't been in this hobby for long, you'll quickly find that out.

they will starve just eating mysis. One of the only ways to keep them alive is to get them eating frozen Angel Fomula. They need lots on sponge in their diet or they will starve.

Hmm, this seems a bit "fishy" to me. you sound like that same guy that posted that he had a 75 gallon tank with an emporer and an idol, and I told him that 160 gallons is the bare minimum for emporers, and he edited his post and removed the size of his tank...

and then he said he had a "friend" with a 180...

Oh Well. Try rearranging the rocks so the emporer has to set up a new territory. But if you cannot feed the idol a sponge based diet like everyone said, it is best to return him.
