Mean clown problem

Okay, I know clowns can be mean but I think mine has gone over the top. It is only a 12g so he is the only fish. A little over a month ago my blood shrimp went MIA. I thought he was hiding to molt. After 4 weeks I even moved rock around and tried to find him. Not a trace. I even took a flashlight to the back of the tank thinking he might have gone over the back wall. Poof. Gone without a trace. The clown had been harrassing him when he came out to eat but we had the shrimp for a couple of months so didn't really attribute disappearance to the clown. This week I gave in to my son and got a coral banded. I know, not reef safe but he was more aggressive and I thought might stand up to the fish. Well... he made himself right at home and did stand up to the fish. An hour later I checked the tank to find pieces. Literally, pieces of him on the bottom of the tank.

Now he is shreading the two headed coco worm. He had it trained to come out at night when he was sleeping but this week it has been out alot during the day. It hides when he gets really aggressive but not always when he picks at it. I tried moving the worm to different locations. Tried feeding the clown daily and sometimes even twice a day. No change. He won't leave the worm alone. He doesn't bother the very active emerald crab or any of the snails (although he loves eating their eggs off the glass).

Any ideas if there is anything I can add to the tank that would survive? A second fish? My son really wanted a shrimp. Would a cleaner maybe get along better? I figure mean is mean and this is probably gonna end up a one fish tank.

Sounds like a bored fish. I don't think there is much you can do about it. Maybe get a meaner fish, like a dottyback or damsel?

What kind of clown is it?

It's a small black clown. About 2". I think the formal name is Amphiprion clarkia.

It may be bored. He was really happy when hosting the hairy mushroom rock. But 11 shrooms just got to be too much for a 12g and I sold it. Now he spends most of his time in the corner near the overflow. I researched and tried to find a good replacement for hosting. I got Duncanopsammia that has gone from 2 to 11 heads. He shows no interest in it whatsoever. Here is a picture of him in full tank shot (duncan is large ivory to the right).

Any suggestions other than a BTA?
