Ok so I'm an idiot and somehow managed to accidentally drop a power cord in my sump. It was there for at least a whole day. Two of my chalices, all my acan's, and a brain started takin a crap on me. And it completely killed my idaho grape monti. I have a 25 cube, with about 15 gallons in my sump. I did I 10 gallon water change that day, is there more I should try to do? Or is it now just a waiting game? Thanks for the help!!

First off, I assume you mean "metal." Were the prongs rusting when you pulled it out?

Whether it is or not, I would continue doing water changes and add carbon to try and combat this. I assume things have been going well for a while and the only variable is the power cord?

Best of luck. Hopefully adding carbon and more water changes can get it leveled out for you.

Ha, yea metal. There wasn't any rust, but I heard metal could oxidize in the salt water within hours. I've had the tank set up for almost 2 years and never had anything happen like this. So the only variable is the cord, whicl lead me to believe its the problem. Ill keep doin good size water changes, and run some carbon. Thanks for the advice skibum.
