Media Arrangement in Nano Cleaner

Does anyone have any suggestions for arranging the media in the Nano Cleaner? When I use carbon or other granular media and the filter floss together it seems to collect bubbles a lot. The flow is also significantly reduced. Now I'm running a poly pad on its side so it does not obstruct the flow and a small amount of the floss which seems to work a bit better. If anyone has a better arrangement please let me know.

I would just use one media at a time and pack it lightly.

Thanks for the quick reply. I like the little system a lot, the skimmer pulls some quality effluent. Oh, by the way, my psychopsis is blooming, only a fellow orchid fan could appreciate that, unless of course one beholds her in person.
