Media screen for GEO Calcium Reactor

I bought a used GEO 612 and it appears the media screen is not with it. Since this is my first reactor, I don't know exactly what the media screen is. I assume it keeps the media from falling through to the bottom of the reactor.

What is this screen made of? What can I use in its place?

The stuff for the GEO calcium reactors is a lot like gutter guard; the plastic screening that keeps leaves out of your rain gutters.

If you contacted GEO, he would probably send you some; though they would be easy enough to make.

You are correct; it is a last line of defense to keep reactor media inside the reactor.

I contacted George at Geo Reef and he sent the screen, o-ring and extra hose clamps to me at no charge! I also purchased mine used from another member here and told that to George up front, it didn't matter. He takes care of his customers.
