Meds: the statement you should NOT trust...

"will not harm fish or plants." ---

That blanket statement regarding every fish or plant on Earth is a shade broad. Many fishes are sensitive to various meds, and you should also be aware that the FDA (Food and Drug Adm) that protects us and sees to it that our meds are safe and that we know the possible side effects..,.does not have any care or authority about fish tanks.

With fish intended for the table---they do test. With fish in your tank, no. This is left to the company producing the meds and affixing the warning labels.

Angels are sensitive to copper. Copper may strip a fish's slime coat, which in the case of clown fish bonded to an anemone may be fatal: the fish ret\urns to his nem
with no protection against the stings, and he doesn't know it. Wrasses and Prazi don't get along. It may be significant that wrasses eat worms, which is a Prazi target. Prazi will also eliminate your beneficial bristle worms.

This is not saying these are bad meds. It is saying, "Ask around. Consult others. Read the Fish Disease stickies. Don't trust the labels, They're only 'sorta guidelines,' not a real promise."
