Meet Marvin

Hi and a big hello to everyone.
I am Mark from the UK and have been an avid reader of the forum for a while and have finally got round to posting now I have my new mantis.
I would like to introduce you all to Marvin. He is my Male (I think) 6” Peacock that I have just acquired and introduced to 35g tank I set up for him.
The only other inhabitants at the moment are 3 black mollies named Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner that seem quite happy for the time being. Tank has been running now for 2 months and was filled initially with water from my 100g reef.
Bed is 4” of crushed coral and sand on top of egg crate as this tank is glass, with some live and dead rock from my other tanks to make home in or under.
Since his introduction he has made a nice cave under the rock and is taking silverside and cockle from me.
The tank has a large canister filter (fluval fx5) for filtration and lights are on from 6pm-10pm every night.
I have attached a short video of him that is not the best quality but is more viewable than my photo’s.
As my photo skills improve I will try to get better shots and post more.
As you will see he seems to have some algae growth that I hope will go now he has a new home and I am using Rowaphos in the filter to get rid of the phosphate.
If there is a need for Phosphate for moult or anything then I can quickly remove it from the canister thou.
Hope you enjoy and any feedback would be welcome

Has your mantis shown any interest in the mollies? There is one balloon molly currently in the tank my mantis will go into as soon as he arrives, but I don't know if the molly is better off braving the mantis, braving a banded coral shrimp, or getting eaten by a fuzzy dwarf, klunziger's wrasse, and blue line trigger.

At the moment the mollies are safe as he eats a cockle, after smashing its shell, every night.
he seems happy at the moment tbh as long as he is well fed, maybe things will change...........
