Demos, lectures, Q&A, etc...

Is there a "theme this time? Yes or No if so what is it.

Contest aside from the Photo contest?

I have been working on name tags for every one. This month I would like everyone to sign in the guest book on arrival and pick up their name tags! There will be blank cards to fill out for new-comers and the next meeting I will make them a permenant name tag. Many people are new to the club. We want everyone to feel welcome and get to know each other. Your name and your "RC" name will be on the tags. At the end of the meeting the name tags will be collected and put in a bucket to draw for a prize! (Maybe Mary will draw herself again!). Just kidding! So if your are planning on being in cognito that meeting and not wear a name tag you will not be eligible for the prize!

Pease send a pm with your name so I can be sure to not leave anyone out! I recognize the RC names and your familiar faces but I am still trying to learn your names!

I spoke with Barry on some of the prizes he is donating. I need to follow up to get the exact count on the other donations and the value of the prizes to be given. I have ideas on paper for the games/drawings and will get them out shortly.

I will make a list of food/snacks and drinks that we will need donations for in a couple of days.

You guys will be real proud of me today! I saw some kids going into a neighbors home. I didn't recognize the kids and called the home owner while she was at work! She called the police. I followed the guys around in my car with a cell phone until the police could apprehend them! They chased down 2 burglers in 1st 1/2 hour. The third guy snuk around in neighbors out buildings and changed his clothes. We looked for 2 hrs for 3rd guy! Finally got him.....he was in pajama pants and a t-shirt....and very cold! What a rush!

Folks.....I need your name and RC name sent to my PM box. These are permenant nametags that we will use for every meeting! Please don't wait until the last minute to give me the information! As you enter the meeting please get your tag. At the end of our meetings your name tag will be turned in and dropped into a bucket .

We have a prize lined up for the lucky name!!! Thanks guys

igosalt is acting on OFFICIAL orders to collect information to create reusable name tags for every member in the CVRC, the information will help us build a database of our members and make our contest drawing much better, NOTHING MORE.

Please send her your information ASAP. You will not be allowed to enter the GRAND PRIZE drawing at the end of the meeting unless you have one of these name tags.

DO NOT POST YOUR INFORMATION HERE send it to her in a PM please.

Now lets hear some of the demos and lectures and Q&A sessions.

Brian wants to do a demo on setting up a tank for newbies, which I think is a great idea.

We need at least 2 more topics, lets see if someone besides Phil step up this time. For those not knowing, Phil has volunteered to speak and demo at every single meeting for over three years now!

Also Lets get those POSTERS up everywhere, we need posters in your favorite LFSs and on public bulletin boards. We have volunteers who printed these out for us, lets not let that effort got to waste.
If you need posters contact me and I will get them to you ASAP.

Lets get moving people, time is ticking away and we want to make this our biggest turn out yet!!!! :thumbsup:</b>
