To the sound of feathers ruffling I would like to know how come anytime someone has a question about the club they get told to ask it via pm. Why should everything be secretive? Their are many that browse the forum but never post, they may have the same thoughts as the person wondering what their $20.00 gets or why meetings are always on a certain date/certain location. To me, telling someone to handle the matter in private comes off as rude and seems to discourage open discussion about the club.

I tend to agree.. there is a saying that for every person that ask's a question several more wanted to but were afraid to speak up.

addressing most types of questions in a public manor like this keeps everyone informed. not everyone likes to step up and be in the spotlight asking a question for a multitude of reasons.
