Melanarus and yellow coris wrasse together?

Could this work in a 42? Melanarus is pretty small and low-key so far.

IMO, no. Before I upgraded, I had a Melanurus, Yellow Coris, and a Red-Line Wrasses in a 120. The Melanurus murdered both of them. I tank that tank is too small. Just my 2 cents.

I would also vote no. It may work for awhile, but long term I would be stunned if those two didn't start fighting with you ending up with only one...

my melanurus did become a bit aggressive towards other wrasses in a 110. i ended up trading it.

I no longer have my Yellow Coris, that should answer your question. No aggression during the day but when my white lights turned off and only my blues were on the Melanurus became aggressive till they both buried themselves.

Not in a 42 gallon. In a bigger aquarium there should be no issue.
