melanurus with shrimp?

maleanurus wrasse are not very common in aus, i managed to get one recently and was wondering how they would do with cleaner shrimp? (cleaner shrimp cost over $100ea over here)

any personal exerpiences with the two to save an expensive snack?

Well considering my two cleaner shrimp cost $15.00 a piece, I never gave it a thought. I have a male (3 1/4") and female (2 1/2")Meleanurus wrasses and have never seen anything at all between the wrasses and shrimp.

I have not tried any smaller shrimp like peppermints.

I have a large Melanurus with 2 large Cleaners, and there has been no issues. That said, I didn't add the wrasse until the shrimp were rather large. If they were pretty young, I could see the wrasse snacking on them.
