melanurus wrasse and adding tankmates

How are these fish with adding new tankmates? I am wondering what position to add him in :) I'm thinking I may add the tailspot blenny first.

Mine was the third fish of 4 so far. Followed a pair of B/W O. Clowns and before a midas blenny. Zero problems with this fish. Inquisitive but not aggressive.

During the day my old 3" female clown and the wrasse spend A LOT of time together while my male clown just kind hangs at home. At night the wrasse dives under the sand and the female clown goes home. Really kind of odd but consistent behavior.

I've had two of them over the years, and they've always pretty much ignored new arrivals.

I suspect the only way they'd pay much attention would be if the newbie showed up covered with tasty 'pods that needed to be eaten :-)

I've heard they can decimate the smaller members of your cuc but other than that, great reef citizens.
+1 No problems with fish, but kiss your cleanup crew good bye; mine has also recently taken a liking to my cleaner shrimp. I have went with about 4 tuxedo urchins instead of snails or hermits.

Not sure what they would do with a sea hare.

I tried turbo snails and as I'm placing them in the tank he was up there nipping away. Never saw them again.

It is a great looking fish.

Dang! that is what I was afraid of! :worried: I like my cleaner shrimp too much! The peppermints I wouldn't mind if they went away.

Too bad. I was also considering one but cannot deal with its proclivity for eating CUC and shrimp.
