OK, we have 29 early renewals so far, unless some show up in my snail mail box in the next few days. Thanks to all who helped with getting the renewals done early so we won't have to deal with that at the expo which will be a crazy fun time anyway. All membership cards may be picked up at the swap and if not picked up at the swap will be mailed to you.

Looks like, according to the post, it is over... but I'll let Norman/Jack answer that for sure.
In any case... don't stop that from getting you to renew now.
I probably don't need to tell you that the dues pay for themselves easily over the course of a year in LFS savings and allows us to pick up some pretty awesome raffles/door prizes for various meetings. Aside from the every day running of the club, they also give us the cushion we need to be able to bring in big name speakers for the swap and invest in making that an awesome event each year.
We've also started to discuss a couple of new ways we might be able to use those dues to help inject a little more fun into the club, get people knowing each other a little better, and building the club a little more on the community side of things (other than just our monthly meetings). I know that's vague, but we've only just been talking... once the swap is over and we've seen how that goes we'll start working on some of those other ideas.

I thought we should rent a bus and have a tankcrawl through certian "areas" and checkout everyones tanks. We could do it on saturdays throughout the year and hit the major geographc locations. When its over we could meet at a bar or a backyard for a fish fry heheheheh! sorry hyjacked thread, so did we draw yet?

For the raffle, you "should" be present to win. Wayne has offered to hold raffle tickets and raffle prizes for people who need to leave, but you must mark your tickets for him and you then need to arrange to pick up any prizes you do win (he will not mail anything). You do, of course, need to be present to buy the tickets in the first place.
I believe we we are running this raffle for all renewals, regardless of attendance (please correct me if I am wrong Jack). If you happen to win and are not in attendance at the swap, it will be your responsibility to arrange a pick-up for the item.

I think the coral raffle may be being done that way. The AC Jr. raffle is a be present to win raffle. I'll discuss that with the rest of the board and clarify, though.

MTRC Member Coral Raffle: Drawing on Friday Night (don't need to be present to win). All members paid up through a week or so ago (can't remember the exact cutoff date) are eligible.
MTRC Member AC Jr. Raffle: Drawing on Saturday at the swap. Must be present to pick up a raffle ticket, and someone with the ticket must be present to win. All paid up members before Friday 1/16 at 6pm central time are eligible for a ticket.
General Raffle (for anyone who buys tickets at the swap): Purchase tickets on Saturday. Drawing on Saturday. Must have someone present with your ticket to claim the item, otherwise we draw another ticket.
General Door Prize Raffle: Must be present with ticket to win, or another number will be called.
