Metal Halide Ballast ID

Okay so I bought a used setup and it had a metal halide ballast and 2 bulbs with reflectors. It has 400watt bulbs 10k in them so I wanted to see what the ballast was to buy new bulbs. It really has no markings other than this stamped on the side "JLZ 175w-B-MHX2".

I've tried searching and nothing came up. Should I assume this is a ballast for 2-175watt bulbs? I'm not sure why they had 400watt bulbs in it. Before I even looked I plugged the ballast in and ran the bulbs for 6+ hours, they fired fine and looked fine to me other than they were 10k bulbs and had a nice icy crisp white, which means not much blue. They are single ended bulbs also. The ballast is able to run 2 bulbs.

The ballast didn't get too hot and the amount of heat the bulbs put off was not bad at all, to be honest. Maybe old Blueline's E-ballast or EVC Tech Ballast Electronic Ballast? There is no sticker listing the specs of the ballast.

Cant tell if those are screws or rivets, but you could pull it out of the case. The ballast should have markings on it.. I had to do the same with my PFO setup..
The way the case is marked, it looks like it is for 2 175w Metal Halide bulbs..

They are screws, but the side I need to get into 2 of them are stripped. I can't access the inside on the far end which I was able to get all 4 screws off.

I think it's a Blueline dual ballast though. I found this picture on Ebay and the case and the QC sticker all the way to the end brackets looks the same. It does have different plug-in's though. Only exception is this one runs 2 bulbs on 1 ballast. I'm not sure why they were running 400watt blubs on that ballast either, cause I doubt it really is helping running the 400 on a 175watt.

I'm also not sure if this would be enough for my 75 gallon as far as lighting or I just scrap the idea and get new lighting.

I may just use them for now til I get the money for some LED. I'm still in the setup process and still need to build a sump and finish plumbing. I could also just add some T5's. Just not sure how I want to proceed. :lolspin:
