metal halide lamp flickering / pulsing??

One of my 3 lamps will pulse or flicker really fast for a short period of time then it's fine. Is there an issue with the bulb or the ballast? Maybe it's a variation in the voltage?

The lamp is a 175 watt 10K XM and the ballast is a standard magnetic M57 ballast that comes with the Coralife unit.

well you could try switching the bulb around and see if the flickering follows the bulb if not then it is the ballast

I had a icecap bulb do that to me a while back. It took me q while to figure it out because I only had one light. Check the contacts for arc marks due to poor connections.
