MEtal Halide Recommendation

I need to replace my single end metal halides that are running off standard ballasts. They are Ushio 250W bulbs. I supplement with actinic power compacts. I would like to replace the halides with new ones where I won't need to use the actinics. I was wondering what some of you are using in a actinic-less configuration...any suggestions?...also..will I lose brightness compared to the UShio bulb that I currently use?

Ushio bulbs are great, you can't really miss out on them.

Although I don't run MH, I know that the higher rating on the bulb is more blue than the lower rating. You could probably get away with 14000K or 20000K without actinics.

You probably already knew that.

I run 2x250W XM 20,000k HQi bulbs as my only lights. They are very blue. Maybe too blue for some.
