Metal Halide Spider Reflector Cleaning

What do you guys use to clean them and how do you clean them, without leaving a smear/streak and corroding the metal?

Stainless steel cleaner

You'll hear a variety of solutions. I use rubbing alcohol myself. It's always worked for me. Just spray it on a paper towel and wipe. Since it evaporates fast, it leaves no streaks. I also use it on my MH bulbs when there's salt spray. Other people use RO water and some like a vinegar RO mix.

jt_redmist: Have the paper towels ever scratched any of your reflectors?

No particular brand, they are basically the same.

Okay great. Do you also use a paper towel or something softer?

If there are scratches, I don't see them. I guess it wouldn't hurt to use a softer cloth like a diaper.
