Metal Halides Bulbs

Hello,

I am getting ready to replace my metal halides and wanted some input on which bulbs to buy.

I currently am running 3 blueline 250 watt, 10k+ bulbs with 6 96 watt pc's as well.

I am thinking about sticking with the blueline probablly the 14K but have been doing a lot of reading and with so many options hard to decide.

What does anybody think about the new sm bulbs? I have been doing some reading on those as well.

Are you pc's actinic? I like the look of XM 10Ks as long as you have actincs for a blue effect.

Yes my pc's are atinic.

How blue are the xm 10k's? I had a hamilton 10k for awhile and it put off a pretty strong yellow tint compared to my bluelines.

I have not seen how yellow 10K hamiltons are, but I know how yellow my Ushio 10Ks looked. I think that the XM 10ks are more blue than the Ushios.

i personally got really good growth from my hamilton 10k 150w de mh bulb with flourescent supplimentation. it looked very pleasing also. my 10k hamilton was very white and leaned towards the blue spectrum.
