I have had my meteor shower cyphastrea for about a week will not open up. I have it in low light low flow. All my levels are in check, also all my other corals are growing very well expect this one. Any ideas?

Maybe that Hammer coral in the foreground is reaching out and stinging the Cyphastrea at night? You might want to find it a new spot for a few days and see how it responds.

What lighting do you have. I know my chyphastrea like moderate light and flow

So you think it's possibly not getting enough light? The way I have it placed now is low flow and under an over hang on my rock structure. Think I should show it a little more light?

Yes. Try that but start with moving it to higher light slowly. Mine loves being in moderate light and medium to strong flow

This has not been my experience at all, imo cyphastreas take a while to acclimate to stronger lighting if ever.

It's not a good idea to give stressed corals more light. imo it's either the hammer or that you first introduced it on rocks higher in the tank in the tank and hit it with too much light instead of starting it on the sandbed and slowly acclimating it to your lighting before moving it up (which is what you want to do with every coral). Either of those are no good for cyphatreas. I'd recommend putting it on the sandbed in an area that gets moderate flow.

I just thought maybe it was stressed because of not having enough light which is why I said to slowly move it out of shade. All of my coral I have had I have started low and moved to where I want them and they are doing awesome. I will say I have never put a cyphastrea at the top of my tank though. And you are right. It could be the hammer also.

So I moved it to the sand bed two days ago still not opening but now some neon green things are growing out from under it. Any ideas?

Looks like green star polyps. I'd keep that separated from the rest of your rockwork, or it'll likely spread. If you want it to spread, that's fine, but just note it'll spread quickly and easily, and is difficult to remove. It looks nice, some people love it because it looks like grass with a purple base.

Update on my meteor shower, have moved it still not opening I do nothing g that when I am feeding my other corals reef chili it looks like it's trying to open. When I am
Not feed the pink polyps are below the top of the holes. But when I feed the pink polyps are now flush or maybe somewhat past the holes. If that makes since.
