Can this be plugged into a regular outlet? I want to use one on a non-tunze ato system.

It is 9-12 v dc and will need a power supply of at least 1200ma.

Yeah so can I splice on a 2 prong plug and use with an apex, or does it need it's own adapter?

It is 9-12V DC, you need a transformer. If you plug it into the wall it will burn up and possibly catch fire.
