If you are putting new bulbs on your set-up, you should acclimate your tank by starting out with 4 hrs. a day for the first week and then increase 1 hr. every 2 days until you reach your desired time

Thats what I thought. That the bulbs can continue to shift in color for up to 100 hours. I just didn't know if it would somehow be bad if I put them over the tank before then. Thanks!
I just got the new Odyssea 760 watt DE MH fixture today. I have heard the good and bad about these fixtures. I also knew that they were undergoing a serious overhaul on this release. I've owned alot of light fixtures, some metal halide, t-5, pc, vho, you name it. I am absolutely blown away at the quality of this fixture. (I was expecting a cheap China fixture that I would replace the ballasts and bulbs on right away). It comes with 2 250 watt external electronic ballasts that get just slightly warm to the touch. 10K DE bulbs (Odyssea brand). It has 4 X 65 pc actinics and 12 blue moon lights. Cooling fan built in that does a great job as well. The top of the fixture doesn't even get warm. The fan is audible, maybe just a bit louder than my computer. Anywho, I'm certainaly pleased with it and my tank looks better now than under the t-5's.
