mh electronic ballast question

does anyone know if Coralvue Electronic Ballast would be a good for a cheap ballast?

You already and an icecap 250w, I would get another icecap 250. A lot of times ballast will change the look of a bulb, so two different ballast with the same bulb might equal two different looks that divide the tank.

Do what you like, I'm just letting you know what might possibly happen. I understand getting away with cheap but it's something that you might notice, it would be cheaper to do it the right way once, rather then having to fix it in the future.

JJ is completely right. People waste so much money in this hobby trying to get by with some cheap solution rather than just doing things right. As far as I am concerned if you can't afford to do it right given what you have, then you would be better off doing things smaller.
