MH Health question

Just curious if long exposure to MH lights are dangerous to people? I do not have canopy on my tank but the lights have the then shield that cover the bulbs. My tank is in my study and at the angle of where i sit the glare is right on me and i was just curious about the impact on health???

should be UV glass on there, which should not hurt you if that does its job.
