I have 2 250W HQI setup that may come up for sale so Im just gauging interest right now. 2 PFO minis reflectors, 2 2month old Coralvue 12K Reeflux DE and 2 Hamilton magnetic M80 ballast. Asking for $300 for the pair. I have some 400s coming in soon for the future 150 but Ill toss them on the 90 but have to see how warm my temp gets. If it gets too warm and unmanageable, I will have to stick to the 250s.

What kind of 400 watt MH's are you getting. Scott said that XM was a good brand for the money, but Reeflux bulbs look good also.

If you go ReefLux in 400w version, use an e-ballast as the color is twice as good and the PAR is higher. They are meant to be run on e-ballasts.
The 400w 10K ReefLux on an icecap or coralvue e-ballast is an awesome color and makes any blues and greens look better than anyother lamp. (including T% combo's)

Caleb, I should be able to set my 400s this weekend. You can come by if you like and see if the 10Ks is your cup of tea. Maybe you may want something bluer and may have to go to 12k reeflux. I would stay away from XMs if you want a higher K lamp and you are running electronic ballast. The Helios 20K would be a good candidate on electronic ballast. Reefkoi runs Helios and they are nice. It just wont be as bright since his are 1000Ws

Russ, I have the icecap variable speed fans on my canopy. Both pulling air into the canopy to vent out the holes. If you run them, you can probably keep the temps down.

Thanks for the tip Murph. I actually got some fans right now that keeps the temp down a bit. 79-80ish. It also helps to have my sump in a different room with a window too. During hot days, I can just put a window fan in there. Its one of those fans that can either suck in or blow out. Temp does better when I blow out the warm air out. I do evaporate a lot though that way. We will see. If it can not handle the 400s, I will just boxed them back up and put it away till the 150 get set up.

Nah. These pendants are fairly small in size but has an effective spread. The lights are already pending though.
