MH over glass brace

Quick question please...My new tank has 2 glass braces that sit almost under the MH's on my fixture(150w 20k). Fixture is on stock legs...will this be a problem? If it is, how come the fixture has glass covering the bulbs in the fixture?

Hard to say if it WILL be a problem in your specific case.

The glass used in the light fixtures is tempered. The glass braces on your tank are almost certainly not tempered.

It also cuts down on the light becuase the glass is catching light
