MH over shallow tanks

I am looking at a 250w MH with a radium bulb to go over my Nuvo 30L, 36x13x11. Is this going to be too much. I figured it we Ned to be about 15" or more above the tank.

Should work well, make sure you can raise the fixture if needed in case you notice corals getting a bit too much light. What corals are you going to grow?

This is a second tank so I was going to move over a bta but that's all I've really given thought to.

I use a 150 watt with a 20 k bulb Reefbrite MH/LED fixture over my IM 40. It is a SPS tank though

Nuvo 30L = 30gallons total volume, more like 20ish on the display.
