Tried this in lighting forum..no luck. I am building a canopy for my 125 with 4 MH se bulbs and 2 VHO actinic tubes running the length of the tank one on either side. I have two MH bulbs parallel to the VHO tubes and two MH bulbs perpendicular to the tubes. The problem is that with the perpendicular MH bulbs they come within an inch of the VHO tubes. Can the closeness of a MH bulb damage a VHO tube (heat) or cause some problem?
