MH transmitting signal?

I've been having an issue with my Profilux Plus II digital Power Bar shutting off and having to be reset each time my MH is on for approx 30 seconds. The problem is my controller will start my EVC 250 w halide (with electronic ballast) but approx 30 seconds later my controller will shut the light off. I've gone into my extras menu, set the socket (sockets 1-6 Hi rush S-1,2,5,6 and the unprotected sockets S3,S4 ) to illumination and tried it on dimmable and non dimmable. I've tried all the sockets with it in illumination. Either way it still shuts off. I've tried to set the input % all the way up to 100% and nothing will work. Finally I've attempted to just run the MH on a power source of it's own. I ran a separate power source to the MH solo from my basement and... the same thing is happening. Is it possible there's frequency interference between my Ballast and my Digital PWB? I believe my PWB is a first generation and may have to be replaced. Anyone else familiar with this issue?

it seems you did not receive my mail?

Ok, please try this first, because I want to be sure all settings regarding the digital powerbar are correct:

1. Unplug the plugs of all devices which are conencted to the powerbar for the next minutes
2. go to extra->socket function menu in ProfiLuxControl, enable manual override
3. click on the sockets 1 to 6 in the list of sockets to switch them manually on and off

-> do the sockets switch as expected (watch the red LEDs)?

after clearing this we should continue...

Hi again, sorry I just saw your email. I'm @ work right now but will have to attempt your instructions as soon as I'm off. I have tried the above though. I've cleared all the sockets and tried each one individually. All LEDS were off except for the socket I was trying.

Obviously this means the powerbar does what ProfiLux wants the powerbar to do (until no load is driven).
But when you connect a MH to the powerbar and the assigned socket is switched on the communication between ProfiLux and powerbar is interrupted.
Is this correct so far?

It seems there are interferences from the ballast or the cables to the MH lamp.
Does it help when you increase the space between powerbar (respect. control line from ProfiLux) and the ballast?

MAx..
Do you have GFI outlets or regular? If you have GFI try to plug PB into regular outlet and see if you have the same problem.
I use to have similar problem .

Thanks again Matthias, I still have interference as far as my chords will allow. The Power Bar is doing exactly what the Profilux is telling it to otherwise. I do have my system connected to GFI outlets. Unfortunately I'm unable to connect to a different power source b/c the floor I have the system set up on is run on GFI due to an indoor Hot Tub. I have tried a power source via extension chord and suffer the same results.

Is this a powerbar of first generation (with fuses 8A and 15A) or a new version (no fuses, all sockets 15A)? Please check the label.

In the new version we improved the interference filters.

Yes I believe it is the First Gen Power Bar. 6D-USA/CD w 8A and 15A fuses. I've contacted someone from GHL sales in hope of replacing the Power Bar. Thank you for your help, I'm sure the new version of power bar may be the answer. Thanks again!
