I got the pleasure of visiting Mr. Hurtado home in South miami to pick up my soup mix of phyto rotifiers and copepods. This Is the guy that took the Miami whites to macna . Definitely a Must go to If your here. So many different clowns to choose from and he also breeds sea horses. Benefit you get to see all the stages of how he grows his fish!

Go if your buying or really looking to buy, don't waste the guys time to just look around. He's a nice guy but let's be honest, it's not a LFS that you can go and look around.

Very cool guy, got some Miami Whites from him before he released them at MACNA.

I go there expecting to spend atleast 10.00 on phyto if you go there willing to do that to look at his clowns your good very nice couple and an amazing setup.

well this is a first but miguel breeds sea horses to? how much do they go for any idea

I didn't look into specifics but there were a good 50 little black sea horses

Yup, same here. Very healthy fish and very nice people. Don't waste their time though, go if you are buying.

I agree. He is a retired LFS owner that was hit hard by the recession so built this thing in his back yard. The guy will spend an hour alone showing you his system, he is very proud of it, as he should be.

KNow that you will get good quality fish, pod, phyto, rotifers etc....

Miguel is the nicest person, and his wife Xiomara is just as nice... I always get my phyto and zooplankton there.

Very impressive setup. His mangroves are about 8' tall!
