If there will be people that display their livestock in tanks under proper lighting for viewing, I will. But I won't buy 'sight unseen' in plastic bags especially from hobbyists that I don't know.

I don't cross my fingers when I make frags for other people and I'm not going to do it when getting frags either.

The man has a point-are they registered on fragswap?
 
Generally MR do not use fragswapper, they use a thread to arrange trades. Michelle and I are trying to convince them to try it.

You'll get some dishonest people regardless of which way it is listed :(
 
Do they have a thread started yet, Jen? I can't find one.

As far as dishonest people, it helps to ask around and visit forums where that person is active to make sure they aren't habitual offenders.
 
Well as you probably know, Jen and I were both unsuccessful with convincing them to use fragswapper...some people just hate trying something new. Personally, if it works for some and its free, what could it hurt? Worst comes to worse, you could use a thread too. Anyway, the thread is up, but people really aren't posting anything. I put a reply on there to hopefully get things started though!

I agree with Selgado, I don't want to buy anything site unseen!
 
That was my first frag swap and it was really cool. It was nice to see everyone, especially some locals that were there.

Jen, I really think I got more stuff from you in the trade than you got from me. Let me know if you see something in my tank that you want - I owe you!

On another note, I was happy to get some free stuff at the swap. I got some Phyto-feast and Arctic Pods from Reed Mariculture. As soon as I got home, I put some Arctic Pods in my tank and my fish went nuts over it! The size of the pods are larger than the Cyclops-eeze, which I think the fish really enjoy.

I got a lot of awesome frags too!

I can't wait for the next one!
 
I thought it was great too! I came in with $60 in my pocket and left with $590!!!!!! That was after all my purchases. I got a tyree sunset frag, several rics, the german blue from you, a pair of clowns, a sea hare, large acan, large favia and more. I also won a $50 gift certificate to the Fish Doctors!!!!!!

By the way - I think the frag looks just like the one that I gave you. hmmmmmmm.......

It was my most successful swap ever!
