Micro bubbles on reefpack skimmer

Hi Roger,
I have setup the unit and it is putting micro bubbles into the water.
They are comming out of a hole on the back of the unit and out of the bottom around where the cord comes out. Any suggestions would be welcome as the manual doesn't say much except high co2 which I don't think is the case.

When brand new this is common, it should settle down in a couple weeks. For now the best thing to do is close the front grate with the sliding door. This forces the pump to recirculate and reduces the bubbles escaping.

Ok Roger. I'll wait it out. If I close the grate, will the skimmer stil be skimming much?

The end result is the same, it is just slower to respond. For example with the grate open it might respond to food waste aggressively and quickly, but with it closed it will remove about the same amount but take some hours to respond and remove it all.
