I'm just wondering what the bad thing about micro bubbles is. I have read a lot about not wanting micro bubbles in the tank and people trying to find ways to get their skimmers to stop producing micro bubble, ect. So, what is the deal?
Well first off its ugly and not very appealing to the eye. I nice clear tank with nothing floating around is what most people prefer to look at. Second, if the bubbles accumulate under corals they can cause tissue damage.
From personal experience having micro-bubbles in my tank has never caused any harm to corals or fish but I like my tank to be as perfect as possible and when there are micro-bubbles in the tank you can see them and the water doesn't look as clear which is why I set up my skimmer and sump properly so none get into the display tank
So visual appeal is mostly what it had to do with? I don't have corals to I don't have to worry about any tissue damage. I just don't want anything that will harm my fish to get into my tank. Thanks for the reply's!
They can cures damage to corals. They can hert crabs, and shrimp to. The bubbles get stuck in their mouth parts making it hard if not impossible to eat.
