micro four thirds or canon g series for macro?

I am considering a new camera but I only have one purpose. MACRO.
I am fully versed with the pros/cons of the canon g series. I have had a G10 and am thinking of buying a G9 or a G11 but probably the G9 to keep the cost down. Before I get the canon, what is the deal with the micro four thirds and can I get a purpose built micro four thirds with macro lens for the cost of a G9? If so, is the G9 or the micro four thirds with macro lens a better buy?

I don't think there is a m4/3 body that is anywhere near the price of a G9. Macro lenses are also very expensive in comparison, so I would not be surprised if the m4/3 setup with a macro lens would be a few times more expensive than a G9. Having said that, I think a Panasonic GF-1 with a Leica 45mm macro would totally stomp on any Canon G series camera for macro and probably stomp a few lower-end Canon DSLR's too.

Disclaimer: I own both a Canon 5D mk II and a Panasonic GF-1.
