I have this skimmer:

I completely cleaned it out last night. Although it's a hang off your tank model, I have it in my sump and it's about 18" or more from my lift pump. However, it's generating microbubbles in the tank.

I'm not sure how to change this. I could just let the scum build up again. But, is there a way to adjust this skimmer?

It seems to have subsided. I unplugged it overnight, and now it seems to be running better. It probably just need a good soak to gunk it up again.

This skimmer is horrible and you'll prob never get rid of all of the micro bubbles You can purchase the prefilter box that will help some, your best bet is to move it to a sump and have baffles after it.

Its common for the Remora series to produce micro bubbles right after they have been cleaned ... should go away in time.
