They are definitely not coming from the water in my sump. Is it possible that an old union would be pulling in air? How can I troubleshoot this?

All suggestions are appreciated.

Same problem here. It is definitly not coming from my sump. I was told it is probably coming from the connections between the sump and the pump.

Buy a new o-ring only cost you less than a dollar if not check your pvc joints maybe coat them with another layer of PVC cement.

An o-ring for the pump head or the bulkhead?

You can put some soapy water on the joints you think are a problem and if they start to bubble and stuff you know what you need to fix.

Would it bubble on the intake connections or suck the soap water in?

Not 100% on that but I've done it on my tank and didn't notice anything . Do you think the leak would be big enough to pull enough soap in to do anything bad? I'd try regular water first just to be safe though sry

:(

check your powerheads. turn them off one by one to check for bubbles. If you are still gettign bubbles they are coming from the plumbing from the sump or closed loop. Just do a process of elimination.

I'm thinking in my situation it may be the bul head. I removed and cleaned and then reinstalled my main pump Panworld 150PS. This helped a lot but I'm still getting bubbles. I know it's not the power heads b/c the water is crystal clear w/ the panworld off - no bubbles.

I siliconed all the joints except the bulk head and still getting some bubbles. I will try a new o-ring. Thanks all and good luck Edward
