Midas blenny food??

Does the midas blenny require anything special for food?? I added one to my tank almost two weeks ago...he was very active at first, would poke at food, but never eat much (sometime nothing).

Now he shows no interest in food...and I am afraid that I am about to lose it.

Any suggestions?

That is not a good sign. These fish are very active planktivores, having a very high metabolism. They are nearly always hungry when healthy. I would offer various frozen meaty foods (planktonlike of course) such as mysis, brine shrimp, cyclopeeze, daphnia, etc.

I agree. Mine goes crazy for anything I throw in the water. I feed my tank everything listed above and then some. The midas loves it all if he can fit it in his mouth.

I got mine started on blood worms. Make sure he has some areas to hide, just in case you dont. They are shy at first like most fish. Also, they jump! Mine went carpet surfing before I could get a cover.
