Midget Clownfish?

So, my first 4 fish in my 120 mixed a year and a half ago were 4 tiny Ocellaris (spelling) clowns. They all were tiny and the same size. Today, a year and a half later, 3 of them are very large and one of them is a midget. Is that a problem? The midget keeps going into one of my overflows and ends up in my sump. I've seen the bigger guys chasing him around a bit more so recently - not sure if that's a good thing for mating - or if it's an "i'm going to eat ya" thing. If it's a bad thing, next time he ends up in my sump, I'm going to give him away as I don't want him to die...

Usually the one that stays small is a male and the bigger ones are female. Sorry for your lose. Always hate losing a fish, except for the comets in my pond, they breed faster than rabbits.

With multiple clowns a social hierarchy is established with a dominate female and depending on the dynamics 1 or more males then subadults that do not mature until soemthing happens to the female or male(s). With 4 clowns in a tank the smallest may or may not be getting enough food and is also going to be constantly reminded (pestered, harassed) by the more dominate fish that it's at the bottom of the pecking order. Establishing a group is possible but just getting two is the safest option when getting clowns.
