Mighty Putty -- is this stuff reef safe?

I saw an ad on TV for 'Mighty Putty' and it looks exactly like the epoxy putty I've been buying at the LFS & online. Does anyone know what it's made of and if it's reef safe? Six sticks for $20 seems a ridiculously good deal and I'd love to get some if it's safe.

Here's the URL to the company's website, for anyone interested...

i dont know about it but i do use aqua-mend epoxy its $3.00 a tube at home depot iv used it for about a year

Aquamend is reef safe, using it in my tank right now and it is cheap.

Mightyputty is the same stuff it seems, just go to HD.

My HD doesn't seem to carry Aquamend, but I will look for it again next time I'm there. At $3 it's an even better deal than the Mighty Putty! Thanks guys :)

I use Aquamend also and would use mighty putty, Pretty sur it would be reef safe it looks exactly like the Marineland stuff i wouldnt doubt if it is the same

I have no "scientific proof" but as far as I'm concerned "Mighty Putty" and Aquamend are the same thing. They look the same, work the same and smell the same. And if you get both the Mighty Putty and the Marineland stuff, they even have the same instructions word for word. They both say "tenacious hold" on the back. Who uses the word "tenacious"????

the key to geting it to stick is to use superglue Gel as well a dab on the putty and push on the rockwork and sticks like a charm
