Mike, is that a HUGE Acan in the front bottom center? WOW

Also you need to get rid of some aiptasia I see. The reason I point this out is you could possibly be a suggestion for TOTM. There a few of them at 2:35 by the zoa's

To answer your question that is a open brain.

As far as the aiptasia, is that really a requirement for tank of the month?
You mean to tell me no one with tank of the month ever gets or has gotten aiptasia :bigeyes:
or do they just not film that part?

Do I get extra points if I tell you my Peppermint shrimp are working on them ;) :love2:

Gorgeous tank! im working on getting a nice soft coral tank going myself.. sick of sticks :) i want movement.

This is great inspiration for me.

LOL no not a requirement but I'd say that if they were gone you would rate better. They take tank husbandry very seriously in their decision making on TOTM and you will always be up against very nice large SPS tanks that usually win. I'd love to see a tank like yours win for a change. We have one other guy here with a 65 LPS dominate tank but he has several new additions that need to mature a bit but he will be a contender IMO>

People go as far as to vacuum the sand and pick out anything that is off LOL I guess it is called being really anal about their tank and I'm sure after the pictures and voting are over they start to get a little algae here and there aiptasias everywhere LOL

But seriously they really jumped out at me during the video and I'm not a judge. I think you should go for it. Maybe start a thread about the aiptasia and getting rid of them in a large softy dominate tank. Do videos and lots of FTS. I do think you've got the goods :thumbsup:
 
Very nice tank. SPS seems to rule the day, but your tank rivals most of what I have seen. I plan to lean more toward soft and LPS on this build. Thanks for the inspiration.
 
Awesome. It's a Softie + ... Those clams look great. Off to read your build thread next. Clams have to be drinking Calc in a big way. Congrats on the success...

I do dose two part and use Coralife salt which is high in Ca so I guess that helps.

Levels are
8.5 Alk
Ca 480
Mag 1440
