Mike's 300 Double-D

Mike & Terry,
I am so sorry for the tank disasters you guys have faced. I remember reading about the first one and my jaw hitting the keyboard in horror. Thank you both for sharing your journey with us. It is as rewarding and heart breaking as a Disney movie.

Mike & Terry,

Wow! I am so sorry for the Marineland failures! What a rollercoaster ride you have been on. Thankfully most has been positive with a reef tank to kill for!

I hope you continue with another build. (might have already done so, new follower).

I have been in the hobby for 21 years but haven't been an avid poster. I have had a Clarity Plus 65 all acrylic tank as well as a large acrylic stand/sump since way back in 1994. The tank has undergone some changes with the addition of metal halide lights, pumps, chiller, etc, etc... The tank has been running since '94 though and this past Christmas I noticed the back wall of the tank was bowing. :mad2: So I have to replace and go bigger to accommodate my fish .

I am going to have Miracles build a Starphire 60" X "24 X "28.5 with an external overflow. Dereck from Miracles insists that they use 19" glass on the build. He doesn't feel comfortable using anything less for that size. I am having a stand and canopy made locally. Should be nice once it is finished.

Incredible pictures and video of your tank!

Thank you for the kind words and best of luck to you with your new Miracles tank!

Victoria, Thanks so much for the kind words!

It's been a long wait for the new tank, but so worth it. The new Reef Savvy arrived Tues afternoon and we could not be more excited. We will post up some pics with details very soon!

Hey everyone - hope things are going well for you.
We've been staying incredibly busy; work, life, kids, and of course getting ready for our install of the new tank. We think we're going to start a new build thread so this one has finally run out of steam. We genuinely appreciate all the support over the years and hope the new build will be fun!

Cool!!! It makes sense to start a new thread and leave all the bad ju-ju behind.
