just was wondering as to what height in the tank do you place your millis for the best color, growth, etc......

milli..........

milli..........

top 1/3 of tank, thats what i was thinking,it was grown out at a aqua farm, the store displayed it at 2 inches below surface,2ft under lights for a week, dont want to bake it either.....its a bright blue milli(looks like palmers)....

Quoted from another recent thread.

For those who may be interested in what the coral likes rather than it's price.

From; "Corals' of World",Jen Vernon; Vol 1 pg 340:

" Acropora millepora ( Ehrenberg 1834) : .... Habitat: Shallow water usually reef flats, but also lagoons and upper reef slopes.....

In other words , this coral lives in high light in nature.

Acclimate them from the light if you havent yet. Keep low and move up after a week to see where is best.

Also from the tank they came from what kind of light did the tank have? What kind of light do you have?

But yes I agree top 1/3rd of the tank works best.
